Macfrut 3.2
Road Show set to begin in Italy together with
UniCredit and Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo
First meeting on 26 February in Rome

Macfrut 3.2: in addition to the tour in Eastern Europe, a tour will take place throughout Italy. The Road Show is set to begin, to be held in the main fruit and vegetable growing regions of the Italian peninsula, together with Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo and UniCredit, the two business partners of this project. The first stop will be in the Lazio region on Thursday 26 February at 2.30pm at the headquarters of Confindustria (Viale dell’Astronomia, 30) in Rome.
Currently, the first two Road Shows in Eastern Europe are about to start, on 24 February in Sofia, Bulgaria and on 5 March in Warsaw, Poland, to be followed by more business meetings in other capital cities of Eastern Europe.

In Italy, the Road Show will feature customised meetings for companies in the agribusiness supply chain who are UniCredit customers and for companies of the Business Community of Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo, where an innovative project will be presented, i.e. Macfrut International, the major international event for professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector, hosted by Cesena Fiera (Fiera di Rimini – Rimini Trade Fair, 23-25 September 2015).
The 2015 edition of Macfrut will stand out for its strong drive towards internationalisation, mainly focusing on Eastern Europe and Mediterranean countries thanks to a new partnership with UniCredit, the leading banking group in Eastern European countries, and with Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo.

In addition to examining in detail the new features of the 2015 edition of Macfrut, the companies taking part in the Road Show in Italy will be offered a special discount on stand prices and on the other services provided by Macfrut International, to be presented during the individual stages of the Road Show. On this occasion, any interested companies will be given more details in this respect during specific bilateral meetings with the organisers.

“We want to illustrate the international business opportunities that Macfrut offers to all operators in the fruit and vegetable sector,” explains Renzo Piraccini, President of Cesena Fiera. “Internationalisation is now becoming a topical subject: we are implementing a tangible project, which relies on the prestige and professionalism of two major partners, Confindustria and UniCredit. Macfrut does not only aim to be an exhibition event but also a driving force to increase business opportunities for exhibiting companies.”

“Internationalisation cannot be improvised,” points out Fausto Aquino, President of Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo, “in fact, the unprecedented partnership between companies/bank/trade fair represents a leap forward to ensure a synergic process with a strong drive towards the internationalisation of Italian companies.”

“Promoting internationalisation,” highlights Luca Lorenzi, Deputy Regional Manager Centro Nord UniCredit, “is one of the strategic goals that UniCredit recommends companies to pursue as a key element for developing productivity. The 2015 edition of Macfrut will be an occasion where professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector can meet and discuss current issues at international level. Moreover, UniCredit has chosen to be the strategic partner of the event, since it believes that it is essential for entrepreneurs to be able to rely on a Group like ours: it is not only international but also deeply rooted in its territory. In fact, UniCredit is a network, spread across approx. 50 countries, with 8,000 branches and 130,000 employees, providing services for over 40 million customers: it is an extensive network, unique in its kind, and the ideal solution for supporting the development of business relations, especially in the agricultural industry.”
