Another Synergy for Macfrut's Success

Another Synergy for Macfrut's Success
The event for the fruit and vegetable sector will be held at the same time as the international floriculture trade show, Flora Trade: 23-25 September 2015 at the Fiera di Rimini

Cesena – Flora Trade, the three-day event dedicated to floriculture, will be held at the same time as Macfrut. This was the decision of the international exhibition for landscaping and floriculture, organised by Rimini Fiera in collaboration with Florasì and Florconsorzi, thus establishing a joint network with the trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector that, this year, will be held in the halls of the Fiera di Rimini (Rimini Trade Fair Centre) from 23 to 25 September 2015.

The fact that Flora Trade and Macfrut will take place at the same time will allow crucial synergies to be established in international relations and the involvement of many producers and trade companies - especially those operating in the horticultural sector of nurseries and garden centres - thus multiplying business opportunities for operators. In fact, we expect this edition of Flora Trade to have great international appeal, also involving buyers of the floriculture sector from all continents, with special attention to Germany, Slovenia, Romania and Turkey.

The choice to focus on internationalisation is particularly well suited to Macfrut, which, during this edition, will host 400 new buyers from all over the world, with three strategic target areas: Eastern Europe, thanks to a partnership with Unicredit, Mediterranean countries and South America.

“We are particularly pleased with this synergy, which increasingly reinforces the strategic role of Macfrut as a benchmark event in this sector," explains Renzo Piraccini, President of Cesena Fiera. "This edition, which we have called 3.2 (three point two), will be characterised by innovation and the presence of new segments of the fruit and vegetable supply chain: seeds, nurseries, breeding, mechanisation for fruit and vegetable growing, protected crops, irrigation, plant engineering, and the dried and desiccated fruit sector. Great importance will be given to innovative products and projects with a specific dedicated area. I am looking forward to welcoming our guests and thank you for making this choice."

“Given this new context," comments the President of Rimini Fiera, Lorenzo Cagnoni, "we felt it was appropriate to rethink the schedule in order to ensure a unique stage in the trade fair world. This proposal was very well received by the market and, in this way, we aim to host the entire supply chain in a single, innovative marketplace."
