Participants from Europe, North America, Asia and Africa at the European Course on Fresh-cut Produce at Macfrut

Cesena – The European Short-course on the Quality & Safety of Fresh-cut Produce, to be held during the next edition of Macfrut (Rimini Fiera 14-16 September 2016), will attract participants from all across Italy, as well as Denmark, Morocco, China, and even Kurdistan and Pakistan.
Now in its eighth edition, the course involves the participation of lecturers such as academics and industry specialists from Italy, Spain, Denmark, the USA, Israel and Portugal, which take turns in seminars, discussion sessions and debates on the main issues regarding fresh-cut produce, from plant engineering and processing aspects to topics such as microbiological safety, packaging and logistics.
Organised by the University of Foggia in cooperation with Macfrut and DARe-Puglia, this initiative involves the Italian trade association AIIPA-IV Gamma and offers the opportunity of recognition of university credits (2 CFU) and training credits acknowledged by major professional associations.
This edition of the course will offer new features such as the presence, at the trade fair centre, of an area where the main innovations in the field of fresh-cut produce will be showcased, a place where lecturers and participants can get together and discuss matters during this three-day event.
The course is limited to 100 participants, therefore registrations will be closed once this number has been reached. A limited number of 20 places will be reserved for students with a special discount (please contact the administration office in advance). Until 31 July, you can also benefit from a reduced registration fee.
